Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Dar Ajr you accept these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part, you should not use the app.

These terms are offered with the same commitment to transparency and fair dealing (ihsan) that guides the rest of our privacy policy: no hidden clauses or fine print designed to confuse.

What Dar Ajr is

Dar Ajr is a marketplace platform connecting independent sellers of beauty, fashion and halal products with Muslim buyers. Each store is independently managed by its owner.

Dar Ajr does not manufacture, own or directly sell the products listed (unless expressly stated otherwise). The sales contract is formed between the buyer and the seller; Dar Ajr acts as a technology intermediary that facilitates discovery, communication, payment and order tracking.

Your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. The information you provide (name, contact, store details) must be truthful and kept up to date.

You are responsible for activity carried out from your account and for keeping your password secure. If you suspect unauthorized use, contact us immediately.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → My account → Delete account. See the data retention section of our Privacy Policy to learn what happens to your information when you do.

Sellers' obligations

If you open a store on Dar Ajr, you agree to:

• Post truthful information about your products (description, price, availability, real photos of the product you sell)
• Fulfil confirmed orders within a reasonable time and keep the order status updated
• Respond to buyers respectfully and within a reasonable time
• Not list counterfeit or stolen products, products prohibited by applicable law, or content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
• Meet your own tax and legal obligations as a seller (Dar Ajr does not replace your business registration obligations where required by law)

About the "halal" label and account verification

We want to be honest with you about the limits of this feature, because this is a matter of religious trust (amanah) and we don't want anyone relying on something we don't actually provide: a product's "halal" label is a declaration made by the seller themselves, not a religious certification issued or verified by Dar Ajr.

The ingredient checker (INCI) is an informational tool that compares the ingredient list against a database and, optionally, an AI analysis — it supports your own research, it is not a ruling from a halal certification authority nor a fatwa. For products or decisions where religious certainty matters especially to you, we recommend consulting directly with the seller or with a recognized halal certification authority.

The "verified account" badge (shield) confirms we verified the identity of the person behind an account or store using an ID document; it is not a guarantee of the quality, halal status or authenticity of the products that store sells.

Prohibited content and products

It is not allowed to post: alcoholic beverages, non-permissible pork-derived products, weapons, drugs or illegal substances, counterfeit products, sexual or indecent content, hate speech, or any product or content that violates applicable law in Algeria or in the buyer's country.

We reserve the right to remove any listing that breaches these rules and, in serious or repeated cases, to suspend the corresponding account.

Prices, payments and fees

Product prices are set by each seller. Dar Ajr facilitates several payment methods: cash on delivery, bank transfer, CCP, gold/silver, or card payment via Chargily (see more detail in the Privacy Policy).

Dar Ajr charges a 1.5% commission on the amount of each completed sale made through the platform; this commission is reflected in your seller wallet balance. The optional Dar Ajr Plus subscription costs €4.99/month or €39.99/year. All amounts are shown clearly in the app before you confirm any operation.

Paid subscriptions (such as Dar Ajr Plus) renew automatically unless you cancel them before the renewal date from your account settings or the corresponding app store.

Shipping, delivery and returns

Shipping and delivery are each seller's responsibility (directly or through couriers such as Yalidine). Dar Ajr does not guarantee specific delivery times, since these depend on the seller and the chosen courier.

Return or cancellation terms for an order are agreed with the seller through the app's chat. If you cannot reach an agreement, you can open a claim from the order or write to support@dar-ajr.com and we will mediate in good faith between both parties.

Reviews and user-generated content

Reviews must reflect your real experience with an order. Fake, purchased, defamatory reviews, or reviews not corresponding to an actual purchase on the platform, are not allowed.

By posting photos, descriptions, reviews or messages on Dar Ajr, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display that content within the platform to operate the service (for example, showing your review on the product page). You remain the owner of your content.

Prohibited conduct and account suspension

It is not allowed to: harass or insult other users, attempt to fraudulently avoid payment or fees off-platform, create fake or multiple accounts to manipulate reviews or rankings, or attempt to compromise the app's security.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, notifying you whenever reasonably possible and explaining the reason, except in cases of fraud or serious risk where acting quickly is necessary to protect other users.

Limits of liability

Dar Ajr uses reasonable means to keep the platform running properly, but cannot guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted at all times. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the app, nor for the actions or omissions of independent sellers or couriers, beyond our role as an intermediary and the good-faith mediation described in these terms.

Nothing in this clause limits rights that applicable law grants you imperatively as a consumer.

Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by Algerian law, including Law No. 18-05 on electronic commerce, without prejudice to the rights you hold as a consumer resident in the European Union under its consumer protection rules.

For any disagreement, we first seek an amicable solution by contacting support@dar-ajr.com. If that is not possible, any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Algeria, unless a mandatory rule of your country of residence provides otherwise.

Changes to these terms

If we make a substantial update to these terms, we will notify you inside the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Dar Ajr after that date means you accept the new terms.
